About us

Bamyan Foundation

Bamyan Foundation is a registered non-profit and non-partisan section 501(c)(3) organization in the Washington DC area. We are dedicated to promoting and providing support to at-risk populations in Afghanistan in the following key areas: education, humanitarian aid, women empowerment, community development and youth programs. We believe that improvements in these areas will result in sustainable and equitable social development and stability in Afghanistan. In addition, following the fall of the Afghan government in August 2021, Bamyan Foundation has initiated new collaborations with grassroots organizations and community leaders serving the marginalized Hazaras and other at-risk Afghans in the United States and in Pakistan. These partnerships will enable Bamyan Foundation to support community development efforts in the United States, and provide humanitarian assistance for Afghan refugees, mainly members of the persecuted Hazara community, in Pakistan.
